First day of "InterACT-IN!"

The project "InterACT-IN!" started on the village of Ezcaray with a group of full motivated participants. On the morning, different ice-breaking games and exercises were made in order to allow participants to learn the name of each other and discover more about themselves such as hobbies, favourite food, life mottos, etc. Using non formal methodologies, they were able to interact using the body as a communication tool and English as a common language.

After this, all the participants carried out the initial evaluation of the project on which they first reflect by themselves and afterwards shared with the group, their expectations, fears and strengths related to the project and its activities. Once this was done, the project coordinators introduced to participants the programme of activities and all the logistics related to the seminar and facilities.

After a tasty meal, the afternoon started with a workshop run by the project coordinator Teatro Crítico Universal (TECU), that shared with the rest of the group not only its structure, objectives and history, but also its best practices on using theatre as a learning and social inclusion tool (movement games, body language exercises, improvisation techniques, etc.).

Then, the German team of JOJO carried out its workshop about the organisation and introduced to the group all related to its regular programmes and main goals. The representatives of this organisation attending the project also had the chance of implementing a simulation of their theatre and learning techniques using participants as testers of their working methods.

The day was finished by a night walk through the city of Ezcaray on which participants got to know the village and its main venues.

You can see all the photos of the day in the Facebook page of the project.
